Staci Mize is a freelance director based in Los Angeles where she received her MFA in directing from UCLA.

Originally from Colorado, Staci has directed and acted across the United States and Europe. Recent works as a director include The Feminine Urge to Disappear, Manic Pixie Nightmare Bitch, This Emancipation Thing, QUAKE, Les Mamelles de Tiresias, Antigone, The Queen, my Lord, is Dead, The Rakes Progress, and more.

Staci has also worked with several prestigious devised theatre companies on shows such as The Fever (600 Highwaymen) and Frankenstein (Manual Cinema), both of which went on to tour globally and regionally. Staci also had the privilege of working with incredible theatres in Poland, including Teatr Narodowy, Stary Teatr, and Studio Teatr. She formerly worked as a Production Assistant and Production Management intern at the Public Theater in the Devised Theatre Initiative, working closely on pieces including We’re Only Alive for a Short Time, The Parable of the Sower, How to Be a Rock Critic, and After.

Staci specializes in physical theatre/clown, theatre technology, and opera, with a particular focus on accessibility. As always, she thanks her family - both blood and chosen.
